I'm not an expert, but I think Hank and Bruce just had normal Selmer amps (Truvoice etc), some of which had the tremolo effect built in, don't think they had anything else until Hank got the tape echo unit.

There weren't a million pedals and gadgets around back then!

Slightly off topic and a different film (Summer Holiday), but an excellent view of Bruce's Gretsch from the Paris night club scene.

Not too sure about the anonymous looking figure behind Hank!

The soundtrack to this movie is still so good, all these years later.

Hi, John. I have a copy of the Expresso Bongo DVD but I have to admit that I haven't watched the whole movie. I watched the first 20 minutes or so and I guess I was impatient. I was expecting to see the "Herbert Bongo" stuff right away and you have to wait until they get to that part. From the video I found on YouTube (below), it seems I would like it...especially with Jet in it. Oddly enough, I love the movie Finders Keepers, but it doesn't have much of a plot.

Thank you for the suggestion. I should watch this movie soon.

Kind regards,
Donna
