I believe the guitar that Bruce is holding in Donna's original posting is a Grimshaw... somewhere there are pics of him playing it live.

It's certainly very similar in style, but Bruce's guitar has the narrow triangular pickguard and doesn't feature the block fingerboard inlays. It would be interesting to know what make Cliff's is, though.

Cliff`s guitar must be a Hopf archtop guitar with cats eye soundholes. Look for a similar for sale on eBay.uk right now.
Search for Vintage-electric-archtop-jazz-guitar-HOPF-made in Germany-in-the early-1950s?
