i think the whole weekend was a great advert for our great country. i dont see how anyone can moan and drone on about the cost of it. most was paid for with private money, and any money put in by the state the goverment will get back 10 fold in tax. the whole event will get tourists flooding in over the next couple years bringing with them loads of dough. the queen was brilliant you should be praising her for showing how great the people from this country are. she isnt the type to be put of by a bit of rain. i`m no royalist but i felt proud to be british this week. she truly is someone we can all feel very very proud of. after what the so called poloticians have put us through latly with who emailed who, the queen stands for all the good things in this country long may she carry on. the concert was a great live event well put together. i have to admit its about time elton john, cliff and a few others called it a day, they have been great performers in there time but are at the end of there live performing days. stop the knocking and get behind the country. we have the olimpics next ,just look at the way we have built all that brilliant job dont knock it get behind it. pity there isnt an event for knocking some people would graurantee us a bronze silver and gold medal. peter

Just listened to fragments of the Jubilee concert through headphones, and I thought the sound was superb.

I echo Kipper's comments - a great weekend, and I got some good shots of the Princess Elizabeth steam loco (46201 to me!) at Kensington Olympia in the most appalling light conditions.

I am an arch-royalist and proud of it!

i have to agree with jim (old fart ) tom jones was great he seems to get better with age, his voice was great and his stage presents was great he seemed so relaxed. annie lennox as well for me.
also agree that it wasnt one of cliffs better performances and yes along with some of the others time to call it a day. he has been great over the years and it would be a shame to spoil it all by carrying on. but come on jim the olimpics. i agree the amounts of money are obscene, but its nearly all private money and we have made such a brilliant job of pulling it altogether look how they have turned that place from what it was to such a brilliant area, how can it hurt the country it should be be something to make us all proud again. if it all goes well and it has so far its a great advert for great britian. GREAT BRITIAN remember when we were all proud to say that. well this weekend and the coming olimpics has and will put the GREAT back in britian i am convinced of that. when that milleniun dome thing was built we were a laughing stock i think. when wembly was built what a cock up that was. the politians have nearly ruined britian. but this jubilee and the coming olimpics will give us all our pride back. the olimpics will bring millions into the country but more important pride in GREAT BRITIAN. WITH A QUEEN LIKE WE HAVE (AND I DONT MEAN ELTON) WE ARE THE ENVY OF THE WORLD. and deep down you all now that. peter

Come on Guys , what is it with all this Cliff bashing? No the sound wasn't great but several artists suffered and it isn't necessarily down to any of them being past it ! Engelbert got slated last week by many people for his performance in Eurovision
which was also very unfair . Yes Tom Jones and Shirley Bassey were very good . Macca struggled (not for the first time ) ,Elton hasn't been the same since his throat operation years ago and yes Cliff wasn't at his best - but they are all legends and still great show people and deserve better respect . I think they will know when it's time to call it a day!

Am I the only one who thought that Sir Paul looked like Ken Dodd with his hair combed?

Totally agree and I don't think anyone on this site has the right to make statements about these legendary acts 'calling it a day' - have a look at your own performances . . . . . .

Paul McCartney sounded to me as if he had a sore throat/ infection. Even when he spoke it sounded raw.
