It was a great night, all acts were very well done.
All our party enjoyed it and are now looking forward to our club meeting this Friday at Hersham (Surrey Shadows)
Many thanks to the organisers for putting on such a great show

Both Daniel and Justin were simply outstanding both with their own dedicated group sets (Foot Tappers and The Shadowers respectively) as well as with Bruce's Shadows - absolutely superb. Bravo to both of these talented youngsters - they were both magnificent and did Phil Kelly proud. Yes...it was very emotional because Phil wasn't able to be there because of health problems, which was yet another pressure to deal with. Justin has been one of Phil's proteges and I know that (along with many others) he's mentored Daniel too. These fantastic young men were pitched into this highly - charged scenario (no more demanding taskmaster than Bruce! - for all the best reasons) at ultra - short notice. Yes...a great honour...but enormous pressure too. They didn't 'blink' or flinch and seemed to take it all effortlessly in their stride. Naturally there must have been hours and hours of preparation too - but they rose to the occasion magnificently. It was all very symbolic somehow.....with Phil indisposed....Bruce seemed to have (in many ways fittingly) 'symbolically passed the torch / flame' to the next generation....reminding himself (and us) of the Shadows at the height of their early powers and in their 'pomp' aged 21 - 23. Bravo 'boys'!!!!

amazing performance from the two young guys, the torch is passed, loved Bruces quips particularly the " It's like being up here playing with my grandchildren" remark............

Well done the collective Malcolms.
The question now is what to do next year .
Preferably somewhere closer to me than Outer Mongolia or wherever Shadowmania was held.

The boys did a great job. It was a brilliant move to let both Daniel and Justin play lead.
Just sorry to hear, that it was the last time with The Foot Tappers. Thank you for some very well played music.
