Just been looking on the Rex Features picture archive website and found this HUGE selection of Hank Marvin/Shadows pics!
My favourites are the ones from the 1970s, particularly those from 76 - 77.
Is anyone here a member of this website or can they help me acquire some of these pics?
Thanks!!

Yes some interesting and rarely seen pictures covering all the decades.
For example a photo of Marvin,Welch, Locking and Bennett from 2nd Jan 1968 then 3 weeks later on 23rd January
Rostill and Meehan feature. That month obviously some illnesses prevailed.
One or two inaccurate captions and dates, which others will see as well - should we tell them?
Getty Images also have similar photo sets. One picture of Jet Harris from 1964 ,with his Vox guitar names the other player
sitting down as Bert Weedon , when it appears to be Billy Kuy from the Innocents!!!
Ah well, we should appreciate seeing them anyway.

I'd certainly agree that some pics on the various photo library sites use a kind of generic date 01 January, for example, when this is unlikely to be the case.
However, the pics that are of particular interest to me are:
THREE LIVE shots of the Shads taken on 13 May 1977.
ONE shot of Cliff presenting Hank, Brian and Bruce with 20 Golden Greats framed 'cricket bat' plaques from 2/2/79
ONE shot of Cliff, Hank, Brian and Bruce from 25 Feb 1978 (Thank You Very Much reunion).
THREE colour shots of the Shads with Lulu (1975)
TWO b&w shots of Hank and Bruce from 14 Feb 1977
THREE b&w shots of the Shads from 24 October 1974
and TWO shots of the Shads and Cliff from 27 October 1974.
(I am guessing that the last ones were taken during their reunion for the benefit concert which was, apparently, the catalyst for them doing the eurovision in 75.)
I suspect that all of these pics are accurately dated.

Very interesting- I was intrigued by the inclusion of pictures of Hank and the lady who I presume was his first wife, with a small child- from another life.....
