ROBIN WOODS (CVFILMS) R.I.P.

Postby Stratpicker » 02 Dec 2013, 14:57

I'm heart-broken to have to bring our Forum the sad news that Robin Woods, known here as CVFilms, a long time member of our SM Forum, a major Shadows and Hank fan and thoroughly decent bloke passed away on Monday 25th November, not having survived emergency heart surgery.
I have spoken to his wife Judith who asks that I let all those who knew him know.
Val and I have known Rob for many years and I know that is also true for many of the members here.
His Funeral is on Wednesday and Judith tells me that he is going out to his all-time favourite Hank and The Shadows tune -
"Cavatina"
God Bless you, Robin.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Judith, son Frankie and little grandson Alfie.
Love
Ian and Val

Dreadful news and as someone who knew him having bought a guitar from him I am deeply saddened, a lovely man.
Our condolences to his family and friends.
RIP Rob.

Very sad to hear this.

I bought my Burns Shadows Custom de luxe from Robin which he had signed by Licorice Locking.

My thoughts go out to his family.

On behalf of Judith Woods and son Frankie, thank you for your kind words.
Friends are the Family we choose and Robin chose the ShadowMusic Forum as some of his. Dont be too sad that Robin has died, be happy that he lived.

Rob was a good friend of ours and also of many members of the Shadows guitar club East Yorkshire. He spent many hours with his video camera recording at our events. He was heavily involved in recording many of the tracks for Licorice in his home at Rudston near Bridlington. He was a very generous man with his time and was always willing to offer help and advice with video and audio recordings. We personally owe so much to Rob for his help over the years not forgetting the wonderful editing of sound and vision of our daughter's video of her Gold Duke of Edinburgh Expedition. Whenever we watch it we will remember Rob with great fondness. Our love goes to Judith , Frankie and little Alfie. See you soon.
