Excellent night tonight, welcomed Daniel Martin and his Dad .
What a lovely lad is Dan, clean and accurate player, no bonce, likes to call everyone Malcolm for some inexplicable reason.
Cheese cobs a plenty, pork pie, strippers, what more could you want ?
We had a great laugh tonight did we not ?
FEA.

... but what about the jaw-dropping moment :o when the normally left-handed Daniel played Apache on Keith's (very expensive) right-handed Strat - better than most of us can play our guitars the right way round

Ecca, RE: the strippers: I've advised Dan it's a bad idea to go out on Tuesdays and that he might offend people.

I love a tot of Nitromors on a Tuesday night too...

Daniel has really got what it takes... he has an intuitive and spontaneous feel for the music, and picks things up like lightning ...

The music is safe in his hands.

Just to say thanks to Ecca and all at Hankies for a fun night with lots of good guitar playing and a special thanks to Roger for the superb cheese and onion cobs and pork pie, well worth the trip !

Hi,

An excellent night, :D

It's a pity that Keith wouldn't let me move the strap button on his new
strat to the lower horn so Daniel could play it standing up! :)

I always said that Daniel was ambidextrous!

Mr Risky went walkabout with his laptop, he can now play backing tracks
from the Gents if need be!

Gren gave us a look at his Roland RE501 - a nice machine!
he wouldn't tell us his alias on here though!

Another suggestion was to stream audio and video live from
the Hankies to Shadowmusic!

Watch out for a Roving report from Friday's Reading Do!

Amanda

P.S. I forgot to mention the cobs!

Brilliant playing by Dan upside down, as a matter of interest didn't the lead guitar in Marmalade play the same configuration ie R/H guitar played L/H ie upside down strings?

Dan is quite often seen at Derby playing Bass "upside down".
I once asked him if he practised at it, and he said no, he just does it!
What is most annoying, is that he plays better "upside down" than I can right way up!

I used to be able to say any word backwards when I was 10. Unfortunately, like my guitar playing, that ability has withered!!
