The "Spotlight" Shadows logo...

I can't remember or locate the exact thread, but there was a discussion on here about the original Shadows trademark or logo (the one used on the EP "Spotlight On The Shadows") and on how it had changed over the years. Having located my collection of old sheet music and having been able to create scans of the logo, I thought some might like to see and compare the original 1961 and the later (1964) versions of the logo.

Notice how the outline of the drummer has been subtly changed, and at how the bassist silhouette is made to look much taller, complete with a little of the Bruce silhouette airbrushed in to change the way the bass guitar hangs...

Was this an attempt to Bennettise Tony and Rostillise Jet? Not that successful, if so!

You might wonder what happened to the legs of the figures (curved to the left).
Professional photographers use background paper on a large roll, hanging from the ceiling.
It is curved to the front nearing the floor, to avoid having a sharp seperation between background and floor.
Using a spotlight to cast shadows of people onto this background, they show the typical curve at the bottom.
For the logo, the lower part of the shadow was cut off; because the cast shadow is too deformed (horizontally) there.
