Is it genuine? Also, the last phrase "Payment needs to be made by bank transfer (or cash!!) no pay pal." is something to really strongly consider, as no eBay / PayPal guarantee can be given, so all risk is for the buyer / winner.

I should have thought that one of the specialist auctions would have been the place to sell it, especially where they have experts on hand to verify the provenance.

you are still covered by ebay when you pay by bank transfer. it stops them getting a lump of the money. ebay own paypal, its a big rip off with there fees and then paypal takes again. peter

At least one of the seller's statements is patently wrong (concerning the number of guitars produced) which must raise questions about the others.
Cheers.

Yes folks it's my strat. I'm Steve, hi. Over the years I've seen a few threads on various forums regarding rare stuff, then the seller has chimed in on the thread, so I thought I'd have a search for anything regarding the strat, and here we are!!
Managed to upset a few people along the way, namely Brian himself who told me to reword the original listing! (Brian Goode)
But what can I say that's not now stated in the ad...I'm effectively the fist owner seeing as it just sat in Brian's office before me getting it. Erm used to be in a band/project with Ben Marvin and we talked abt the guitar now and then, he remembers it. Wasnt sure if he'd appreciate me taking it along to these sessions but he was fine. I'm not a collector I'm just a freelance guitarist and the Hank has been used a lot over 19 years but I've always given it that extra bit of care (had it since I was 14 mind) and even though it's been re fretted, it still looks really stunning, the body is unmarked. All it has is some rash on the back from a guitar rack I had years ago.
I did effectively straighten out the initial story about it though (during this eBay ad) saying there were initially 10 when in fact there were initially 20 where most (10 or so) were returned to the CS but some remained and somehow found their way into the market.
Anyway, fire away with any questions!

steve i dont blame you mate specialist auctions maybe not so many douters there. ebay has loads tyre kickers on it these days. i am all for asking question ect but so much negitive stuff. but on the flip side (not refering to you here) there are so many scammers about no one trust no one these days, spoils it for genuine sales. peter
