Blind Guitarist

Just had a day in Liverpool helping my wife with the Christmas shopping, which I was not looking forward to
until I heard the sound of Apache being played very competently. Imagine my surprise when I saw it was a
blind man playing :o See what you think.

This is Andy who has been playing Shads in the streets for about 25 years - I first saw him in Blackpool where he was a regular round about 1989 I think.

Isn't it telling that his Shads music draws some of the biggest crowds you are likely to see for a street performer.

We had the pleasure of listening to Andy play on the streets in Blackpool back in July. It was a great sound which attracted a large and appreciative audience.
All the best to you Andy if you get to read this.

Cheers,

Bob Withrington

Erm... you might want to rethink that last sentence, Bob! Though I bet Andy would laugh.

Well spotted Noel, I'm sure it was an innocent mistake of Bobs

Thanks Noel for spotting my innocent error. Hopefully there will be someone around to read it out to Andy.

Cheers,

Bob

What can you say about this guy other than a natural guitar player who's got my admiration.

Noticed one posted a question regarding the power supply to his gear---any ideas anyone?

I'm fairly sure he is using battery power, maybe Alan who knows Andy would be able to confirm this.

I'm sure I remember spotting some shrouded mains outlets fixed into street furniture at the allotted busking points in the centre of Liverpool.
