ROB BRADFORD - BEWARE SCAM EMAIL FOR HELP

Hi Everyone,
Just received what we think is a scam email purporting to be from Rob Bradford asking for financial help as he is stuck in Italy. We get these all the time but some of you may not be aware of them and offer to send him money. I don't think this is Rob judging by the way it was addressed to us. So don't be fooled. Maybe Rob can confirm he is OK.
So looks like your email address book has been hacked Rob. :o

Hi Everyone,
There are some devious and evil scammers out there!!! I am fine...but, obviously.. my account (despite just about every possible precaution possible!!!) has been hacked / compromised. This isn't Hotmail...it's BT!!!! I will get onto this shortly...meanwhile....any IT 'experts' with any tips / advice if there's any 'simple' way to fix this???

Bests....Rob

PS: Meanwhile avoid any 'suspicious' messages from me (viz: asking for money etc. ,etc)!!!!

Most people carry a wallet on their person with at least one credit/debit card
so it is obvious that this is a scam.

BT/Yahoo are suffering badly from account hacking at the moment. I have been affected and I know of several others. News items also refer to Facebook being included. Best to change your password straight away if you have one of these accounts, especially if you use the same one for other accounts, in which case these should also be changed.

rob i had my bt account closed by bt couple weeks ago to secure it as it was hacked. i opened it again though bt, but had to put a stronger password in place. also i have to log in each time i check mail but before it stayed open for a week at least. its a constant battle against these criminals on line you just have to be aware 24 7. peter

My BT a/c was also hacked and used for spam a few months ago. May have been my fault for accidentally going to a poisoned site.

I knew right away this one was a fake - Rob would never spell travelling with only one 'l'!!!

Rob - first step - CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD ASAP

something really obscure, using combinations of Caps, numbers & special characters etc

eg. tEa=4cUp
