Very enjoyable session at Congleton Guitar Club yesterday. The venue, Mossley Village Hall has been very nicely refurbished, which added to the ambience.
Particularly diverse spread of music from Johnny Cash & Everly Brother vocals, Duane Eddy, Ventures, Bert Weedon and Shadows instrumentals through to Gypsy Jazz. Included a young (18 year old) vocalist who writes his own songs ( in the folk idiom) and a bottle neck guitar player using a Dobro type guitar.
