Sixteen years ago today I retired after spending my life in the Motor Trade, dealing with retirement is strange at first, then I was very very lucky and got hooked up with trying to play the Guitar and joined The South Coast Shadows Club......I have to admit this was the best thing I have ever done.....Playing the music of The shadows and meeting loads of like minded people has given me a real purpose in life and carried me through all the difficult times...............Thank-you to everyone ..........

Not really one to get involved with garbage like this - but was there any real need for this? What is the point exactly?

Hi Derek & friends, I retired a couple of years ago due to health issues and discovered Shadows music being played at our local club (Surrey Shadows in Hersham), as Wifey is a Cliff fan we have been going ever since.
I bought my first guitar after a couple of club visits and have been enjoying learning to play some Shadows tunes, it passes the time, is educational and I have met some good friends through the club.

Me too - until I met Mick the Marmaliser at the Hankies and then my life changed.
