On Tuesday BBC1 there was a programme called Mayhem and Mishaps, About 2 minutes in there's an instrumental tune being played in the background (sounds like an American surf record. Anyone recognize it.

Sounds like 'Bulldog' by the Fireballs, also recorded by the Ventures amongst others...

Bullseye, George! Written by George Tomsco, this is the original version by the Fireballs, recorded in November 1959. There are subsequent versions by the Ventures (several), the String-A-Longs and the Challengers.

I had the pleasure of introducing George Tomsco to the Pipeline Convention audience several years ago. Really nice guy and a fine player into the bargain. The Fireballs did some catchy wee tunes.
