Can anyone recommend software that will do this and doesn't cost a lot. Free downloads haven't lived up to their name as you are usually directed to buy the software after viewing the demo.
I don't begrudge having to pay for something that will be worth having but I don't want to buy software that I will use rarely.
Thanks in anticipation

Audacity does it perfectly for free, Terry.
So does the free download version of Adobe Audition.

I use "SUPER" which is a general purpose video and audio converter, but although it's free, it's not easy to download without unwanted other commercial dowloads.

Hi Terry, & friends,
Not sure what format you are converting from, guess its a CD so for CDA I just use windows media player for the PC's

Hope this helps

You just need to uncheck each other commercial download that is added by default during the install procedure.

This is what I do, but the right download command is not easy to find !

I agree with you there, I'm sure that they keep moving the right download command!
