That'll be good.
For those who find 10 o'clock at night an inconvenient time to listen to the radio, there are two other ways to hear it when it suits you. One is online via the BBC iPlayer, where you can either listen at the time or download a copy. The other is to use a digital video-recorder. We think of these as ways to capture TV programmes but they work just as well for radio.

Remember that Radio 2 on line and on iplayer is
appallingly low quality at only 128kbps

Nothing on Hank & the Shads then, but at least in the right place with Scotty Moore.

The "Guitar Greats" series from Radio One in about 1984 did indeed have an episode, narrated by Alexis Korner, on Hank. So it will be broadcast (if they're doing the whole thing).
In those days, Radio One was still aimed at listeners with an IQ of more than 75 and an age of more than 15.

I see people will be able to vote for their favourite riff and they will present the 100 top riffs right back to the 50s. Perhaps a top 50 of shadows tunes could be done on this site- or has it already been done

A tad more info. Hank WILL be recording at least one and possibly two items for the Radio 2 guitar season.
The research and interview material for the Scotty Moore program was carried out by my good friend Geoff Barker who's Saturday Night Rock N Roll party is a perennial favourite with those who like their music played by someone who actually knows about it.

I enjoyed the show tonight. Some of that stuff sounded as fresh as when I first heard it. Groundbreaking stuff - glad I was around when it was all happening
