I work for TECHNICOLOR @ Pinewood Film Studios and I have come across some 16mm film negative material for the Title Apache - The Shadows - customer : group one The can is dated 1977. We received this material from a film lab METROCOLOR which is a company we acquired along with their Vault of film materials around 2002.
I understand the film Rhythm & green was released around 1964 and this footage seems to be a 20 min section (no sound) maybe used for another purpose later in the 70's. Any ideas who may be the owner? PAUL

See:
Some of the R@G footage is used, but so is some Shadows promo stuff from 1975/76 (made, if I recall correctly, the old Wells Street ITN studios, which in those days, had a lot of available studio time for private hirings).
I first saw this (promo?) video for Apache over twenty years ago, on a VHS copy sent to me from the other side of the world. I assume it was meant to publicise on the several re-issues of the track during the 1970s.
PS: Note the "1" DOG bottom right...
PPS: There's a good game of "Spot The Footage" to be had, but I'm fairly sure that the monochrome shots of the Shads with Burns guitars comes from ABC TV (Teddington) in 1966, as part of a self-congratulatory tenth anniversary show "The ABC Of ABC". It still exists in the BFI collection.

thanks Jim.
Any idea who could be a potential owner of this material we hold?
Paul

The 1 logo (DOG???) looks like an old VH1 logo.
