The Bruce Welch Show that never happened, I'm not sure what year this was.........I reckon it would go well these day's now that Shadowmania has finished ...........

Forget Shadowmania ( or whatever it wants to call itself these days) - THIS I would pay very good money go go and see!!!

I booked to see that show at Mansfield and had a letter with a refund saying it had been pulled. Around 1994/5ish.
What's Alan Jones signature doing on there?

Booked to see it in Dudley, turned up on night to find out it was cancelled

At the Concert for Wayne & Jackie Nichols* in 2005, Bruce did a solo spot, singing to backing tracks and strumming 34346. It's possible that he was using it as a preparation for the tour. Here's a frame grab from the video.

*Wayne Nichols played rhythm guitar in The Rapiers but he and his wife were killed in a motorcycle accident. Colin arranged the concert to raise money for their children and got in touch with many famous names - Jet Harris, John Leyton, Mike Berry, for example, as well as Bruce. i recorded the show but in the end the DVD was never able to be issued.

But this was ten years after the tour we are discussing.

This was Bruce's first attempt to perform again, after The Shadows became inactive for 14 years. It was a tour, which was about to take place in late 1993 maybe early 1994. I remember reading about it in a couple of the Dynamite International issues of 1993/1994. In addition to Bruce on rhythm guitar, the lead guitarist would have been Roydon from The Netherlands, Alan Jones on bass guitar, Cliff Hall on keyboards and of course a drummer, the name of which I am not certain at the moment.

It was told that there should be an option of a few more dates.

As Ivo already mentioned the known line-up consisted of Roydon Soerioroseno (from the Dutch Shadows cover band F.B.I.) on lead guitar, Bruce Welch on rhythm guitar, Alan Jones on bass guitar, Cliff Hall on keyboards plus Clem Cattini on drums.
The German club magazine reported that apart from Bruce's talking The Moonlight Shadows would only play songs which Bruce had written or co-written.
