Cliff in New York
Posted: 23 Jun 2014, 17:11I was interested to read that Cliff recently did a free concert at the Grammercy Theater in New York, to make up for the fact that his supporting gig with Morrissey had been cancelled due to Morrissey's ill health.
A nice gesture by the great man. Interesting too that although Cliff is not supposed to be that well known over there, and was never the focal point for budding guitarists, Bruce Springsteen's guitarist, Steve Van Zandt, was in the audience. Interesting, eh?
I gather that In The Country, Summer Holiday and The Young Ones were amongst the set list. Maybe it'll be Cliff and the Shadows next time...?
