I can confirm that, a friend of mine ordered from them a "Hank Marvin" Strat with gold hardware and birdseyes maple neck, but when he received the guitar after several follow up requests, it was a very bad quality Strat copy with none of the announced features...

Here is the model that my friend ordered : http://www.bazaarofchina.com/product_in ... &language=
Doesn't it looks nice ? The only trouble is that the one he received wasn't fiesta red, didn'h have gold hardware neither birdrseye maple neck, and was of very poor quality !...

Hi, last year there was a thread called something like "how cheap would you go" and had reference to strat copies made in china for £39. these were sold by a company in Germany through ebay.
The company was called OTC SHOP, and I was going to purchase one of their guitars, but they seem to have disappeared from ebay. Does anyone know of this company, and is it still trading. They always had lots of guitars to choose from and judging by the feedback they received, it appeared that the guitars were very good for a very low price.

If you make a search with "Alba" in the "musical instruments" category (new), you'll find very cheap guitars from Germany, although you genarally have to bid for them (no always the "buy it now" option).
I don't know anyone who bought one of these, so I don't know anything about their quality. Of course, at these prices, they can only be Chinese made copies.

I believe Dave Moore bought one of the guitars from Germany, and paid something like £34.00

He was quite happy with it.

Hi, thanks Didier. You are right, I looked in Alba on ebay and found them. They have some nice looking strats for £35.
