Today on Sky Arts One at 4.10 p.m. "Beatles Stories". I watched it recently and enjoyed it.

Here's another opportunity to watch a splendid programme.

It lasts approx. two hours. (25 minutes if you take the adverts out. ) 8-)

Cheers, Alan.

Paul, these were a moderately successful group that came out of Liverpool in the 1960's.

Try as they might I don't think they ever made any money to speak of. Their songs
all sounded pretty much the same, with the exception of the ones that broke new
ground and inspired many young musicians all over the world.

As a group they didn't last long. Yes, they had a few number one singles and a few number
one albums. But then, so have a lot of groups so nothing special there then.

Oh, yes, and they made a couple films for cinema release. But, again, so have many more
so, nothing special there either.

Two of their number are still alive and kicking today. And indeed, still performing I believe.
This would put them well into their sixth decade in the music business.

You might have to put some time into finding any record of their existence, but if you look hard
enough and you have a day or two to spare should be able to find something out about them. 8-) 8-)

If you want to hear a decent tribute to them ask a bloke called Ecca. Him and his old band did a splendid turn so I'm told.

Cheers, Alan.

For the record, I loved the Beatles. :D
