Another Shadows...

Apologies if this has been posted before, but as well as Bobby Vee's backing band in the USA in the late '50's, even earlier, in the mid '50's, the rockabilly singer Bob Luman had also a backing band called The Shadows- the lead guitarist was a very young but very talented lad called.....James Burton!

One of the best no wonder Hank liked it. Incredible licks and his own style. Pity he didn't join an instrumental band would have been interesting

Back in the '60's, James Burton made an guitar instrumental album called Corn Pickin' and Slick Slidin' with the steel player Ralph Mooney(I think!)

...and in the end of the '50's another great guitarist: Roy Buchanan ... ;-)

This mildly bizarre recording from the US, backed by Under Stars Of Love, was actually issued in the UK in 1958...
