"Top 100 Guitars, Amps and Effects of all time..."

Vox AC30: "The sound of the British Invasion. Although the Beatles had been using AC15s early in their career, they needed amps with more power, so the AC30 was born..."

Oh, and there is a blurb which (quite rightly) pays homage to the Gibson L5 as the first "modern" guitar ... but it is accompanied by a picture of an L7.

And then there's the "Vox" Tone Bender (Gary Hurst will be amused to hear that no mention was made of his own original model). Apparently, the Tone Bender was used "most famously" by Jimmy Page [well, OK] and Mick Ronson. [Who? What about Jeff Beck?]

And what about this one? WEM Copicat: "The first commercially-available tape delay*, the Copicat was used by Hank Marvin with The Shadows to create those classic ethereal Strat tones".

It's that howler and the one about the AC30 which are classics.

[* That'd be news to Ray Butts (amp and effect builder to Chet Atkins), or Mike Battle (designer of the 1950s Echoplex).]
