Posted: 05 Sep 2014, 23:41It might have got loud but it didn't get good, a waste of TV time, nothing outstanding or exiting to watch or hear - not for me. 
Currently watching Cross roads on Sky Arts, Clapton, Beck, James Burton, Albert Lee to name but a few - brilliant.

The soap was more interesting than the subject of the thread. The Crossroads concert was great, even the guys I didn't know, mind you Ronnie Wood managed to get on and take the quality down a bit. What is he for ?

Posted: 10 Sep 2014, 12:33I re-watch it and I find it still mostly a shite programme.... when I saw It the first time, I was surprised by the carton type sounding voice of Jimmy Page.
Jack White couldn't play a single quality note or trick that wasn't done before, the gimmick of a green bullet mike thru his guitar sounded as a cat in a wringer
The Edge was as always solid playing with his large collection of gizmo's.
Jimmy playing was good.
There was no chemistry between the players, Edge and Jack looking to Jimmy as two drooling kids when he played Kashmir....
I understand what the programme makers try to accomplish, one 60's/70's and a 80's/90's and a 90's/0's player together, but for me it didn't work in this case.
I would like to think Hank, Brian May or Mark Knopfler and Joe Bonamassa would be a better working trio...
