I lived in Basingstoke between 1970 and 1974. Unfortunately, I don't at the moment. If I did, I'd be there, if you see what I mean. I shall be there in spirit,if nothing else...

Oops. Just noticed the gig was on Friday! Maybe next time...

If I had listened to my Sat Nav I may well stii be there! (Inner ring Road confusion).
Next gig is next year so plenty of time to get the notes in the right order!

Yeah, who needs this technology thing when a map and a pair of eyes were sufficient for so long. And a bit of luck too!!!
There are indeed a great many roundabouts in Basingstoke!

Hi Guys;
My wife and I were at the Bootleg Shadows Basingstoke gig last Friday, the second time we have seen you live, last time was in Weston-Super-Mare last year when my mother came too. I thought you were musically as good as last time but Tony is getting a bit over the top now I think, last time we saw you guys he didn't detract from the music but stopping in the middle of "frightened city" and in some cases to tell a joke got on our nerves a bit, the Shadows always had cool bass players like Jet Harris and John Rostill but If you came to the show not knowing this to see a Shadows tribute band you could be forgiven for thinking it was "Norman Wisdom". I know there are people who will enjoy this mucking about but in our case it we would prefer to just enjoy the music. Just our opinion that is what forums are for I am told.

I think England invented the roundabout!

Quite possibly, Ivo.
Let's face it, we invented just about everything else!!!

Hi James
Thanks for coming to see the show (again) and thanks for joining Shadow Music today and making us the subject of your first post! We had a lot of good compliments from the many people we met after the show, we are very grateful for all comments - sorry that you felt some parts were OTT for your taste. Next time we will try all The Frightened City in one go!
Incidentally, we are also on Facebook as well as our web site bootlegshadows.co.uk incase you want to leave any further comments.

Cheers
