Am I alone in thinking that the extra whining guitar adds nothing?

Gordon Bennet! Obviously being 'different' just for the sake of it just doesn't work...

I'm fairly sure that these are from a BBC radio John Peel programme ("Sounds On Sunday"). They circulate among fans and have done so for the last twenty years at least, though not usually in stereo, mainly doe to the fact that stereo reception and off-air recording wasn't as easy in 1974 as it is today. For that reason, I suspect that this copy is taken direct from a BBC source.

Aren't these the same renditions as played at the "Live At Paris Olympia"

Same arrangements, but not the same recordings/occasion.
