Updates made to www.justindaish.com

Postby MeBHank » 01 Dec 2009, 08:48

Hi all...

I've made a few alterations to the text of my website, as well as adding another three pages of diary entries (I've been told they're the best bit!). Thankfully the gremlins in the Text Only section of the website seem to have disappeared, which is good for me as it's one less thing to worry about!

I'm considering giving the site a complete overhaul but my problem is finding the time.

The URL is still exactly the same: http://www.justindaish.com/

Ciao for now!

I really like your website Justin!! There's only one thing missing, but I'm sure you know that and are working on it -- at least I hope you are :D

Best,
Bojan

I always enjoy a visit to your website Justin. Glad to see you've now turned pro.

Was my BT for Life in the Jungle any help for your rehearsals/practice?
(BT available from OzzieTrax at http://www.turningpointcd.com).

Cheers, Tony in Ozzielandia.

Nice website Justin
Good to see you have turned Pro - no more Screwfix then?!
Nice gig list - lets hope you can keep it up and expand the Work.
Maybe in 2010 when over in Glasto, I'll get to one of the Yeovil gigs and 'tut' from the sidelines!! LOL!! :D
cheers

Tony, your help with Life in the Jungle was indeed much appreciated and it certainly helped!

Kitty, I'll create a link to the Shadowers' website ASAP. Bojan, was that the missing part you meant too?

Ian, Screwfix was not my first choice of career, as you may have guessed. Yes, the doors of the call centre are far behind me. It's nice to feel in control of things for once. Also, when people ask me my profession it's nice to be able to say "I'm a guitarist". That's nice little perk of the job.

Thanks for all the kind words, folks (sorry for the delay in response, I forgot about this thread!).

Actually Justin, I was thinking that your site would be vastly improved in terms of content and variety by adding some demo tracks, both audio and video. I think that is a valuable, and indeed, vital element of any professional musician's website, so that people could listen to your music and watch some video clips of you performing. At least that is what I would do if I were in your place, especially because you play so beautifully -- or so they say! ;)

Cheers,
Bojan

Hi Bojan...

The (admittedly dated) application I use to create my website does not allow for sound or video files to be uploaded onto the website itself. As time passes, DVDs of Shadowers performances are likely to be made. Once the editing and producing processes are over I may include links to YouTube videos. But I'm afraid I cannot be bothered to spend hours in the studio re-creating Shadows tracks that sound just like the Shadows. I've been down that road once before and the final results were not worth the stress. People are far more likely to simply buy the Shads' originals. Maybe one day the Shadowers will release a live CD, which is a different matter altogether.
