Great amp but not £9000 worth. I currently use a Boogie MKIII as well as a DC-5 and they are superb - and yes I can get a good vintage Shads sound, it's all down to set up.
Back at Shadowmania in 2001 I was offered Bruce's MKIIc Boogie by Mick Johnson at a lot better price than Hank's. At that time Bruce had picked up another Vox and had no use for the Boogie. I too sold my first MKIII around that time - BIG MISTAKE. Nothing I had in it's place could follow it, even the Matchless. I'm now a happy bunny again having gone full circle, though I still have a soft spot for my Voxes, they are aesthetically correct for sixties theatre shows. It's all good fun.
