Great!

I've already started to spread the news!

Fantastic!
I've just spent an hour reading Brian's tour diaries again from the Shads final tours in 2004/05. It always makes very interesting reading and, especially for a drummer, is also very inspirational and motivational too!
It's great to see Brian has a book due for release at the end of the year, and I'm also looking forward to the new record celebrating the music of John Barry.
:)

This is a brilliant site.

I thought Hank, Bruce, Brian, Mark, Warren played on one of the John Barry tracks. Is that with the BB Orchestra?

I heard that too. Only time will tell!

I'm sure that this fact will be more than adequately covered in 'Chasing Shadows' !!

Interesting about the overdubbed timbales on Simplify Your Head - I wish there was more information like that about how some of the recordings (especially from the 70s) were made. Most of the knowledge we have comes from Stuart Duffy. I'm looking forward greatly to Brian's Chasing Shadows book coming out and the John Barry album. It seems an awfully long time since the John Barry project was first announced... ;)

The little comments on the various tracks are indeed very interesting. I had always assumed, forgive my ignorance folks, that Trevor Spencer played on the two Tarney composed tracks on Green Light. Looks like I was wrong. Sounds like Brian on 'Free My Soul' (first song on side 2!!), which is great!!!

I'm sure that his book will elaborate on all this.

The site is obviously geared towards emphasising Brian Bennett as a composer - which, of course, is his prime job these days.

Is the book an autobiography? Sounds interesting.
I wish Hank would write his life story, he has been asked but turned it down for some reason. An update of the Bruce Welch book would be welcome too or even an updated book on the life of the Shadows in general.

I often wonder if Hank's religious beliefs influence his thinking in making such decisions. He may well feel it is something he does not need to do.
