I'm still not going to watch Coronation Street, though...

I was both surprised and slightly alarmed to find myself watching 'The Road to Coronation Street' last night on the DRAMA channel. My excuse is that it was a docu-drama about the genesis of the programme and therefore quite interesting. I was rewarded by this by having the pleasure of hearing not one but TWO Shadows tunes played during the programme as background music. The Savage was played in its entirety and a few minutes later. almost all of FBI. So good to hear these tunes given such prominence during a programme about one of our cultural icons. The programme itself was surprisingly engaging, with some great performances.

Come to think of it, it might have been The Frightened City and NOT The Savage! I always get those two confused! (Must be old age!!!!)
