Late '80's early 90's Gerhard Wupper (Germany), Jan Arne Flatby (Norway) and myself started making optimistic lists of both LP's, EP's, Singles and later also CD's of The Shadows releases worldwide. (It was then, and are still a never ending story). At that time we did send lists to each other by mail, not e-mail, and had several phonecalls.
I myself have ended the LP and CD lists a long time ago. However I have now started to update the EP and Singel lists, and completing it with scans of cover, back cover and labels, A and B-sides.

From the EP list there are some UK EP's that we only heard of, but never got confirmed as released, and I wonder if anybody out there could confirm the records, preferably with scans as mentionned, and if available, also with release dates.

What a GREAT shame that the Gallery for this website is not currently up and running.

Every UK Shadows EP is detailed there, with a HQ scan of the front and rear of the sleeve and my commentary on the significance of the release.

Arne, there used to be a Gallery on the ShadowMusic site. Apparently, it still exists and all the files are intact, but it is at present, for some reason, unavailable, though there are plans to re-establish access to it at some point. It contained (among many other things) a full list of all Shadows UK EPs, including HQ scans of both the front and reverse of the sleeves (sometimes the disc labels as well), together with a written commentary on each disc and the opportunity for discussion and further information.

HOWEVER...

I had placed the UK EP commentaries over on http://www.45cat.com/artist/the-shadows, though that site also contains details of The Shads' UK singles as well as EPs.

I have now recovered the commentaries from that site and am in the process of adding them to a new Facebook group, as well as copies of the front and reverse scans of the EP sleeves.

I hope you and others will find this interesting and informative.
