I've just finished recording another backing track CD and for anyone interested you will find details of the tracks and be able to listen to soundclips of each track by using this link :-

I got my autographed copy yesterday . As always it's superb.
For me the inclusion of Chinchilla, another Jet Harris masterpiece, was the icing on the cake.
Someone may know better, but I think it's the first recording of Chinchilla since the original.

I think you're right Luigi. I once did the Jet bit on Chinchilla at Watford Club. We didn't have a pianist but otherwise got away with it. I'd love to do it again but finding the other players is always the problem.

Hi Iain,
If you ask Roger nicely he may be able to do you a version minus the bass, autographed of course.

That's a thought, Luigi. Why not ask him anyway and you can add it to your repertoire!

I'll be doing a full review for 'Pipeline' in due course, but sufficient to say for the moment that this CD is well up to Roger's usual standard, and there are some really great numbers there!
Glad to see him doing a Dinosaurs cover, 'Lone rider'...

How about the Dinosaurs returning the compliment and doing a Roger Allcock cover? I'm sure your version of Chinchilla would be fun.

Funnily enough, Iain, we had thought about Chinchilla or Bongo blues as a possible, but decided to steer clear of Shadows-related numbers for the moment.
We had also earmarked Polaris as a possible future track, but Roger has beaten us to it in that case.

Hello George - I normally try to avoid covering backing tracks that others have recorded but was unaware of your version of Lone Rider.
I became interested in doing it when I remembered the version by the Flee Rekkers but ended up using the arrangement by John Leyton.

My tongue was firmly planted in my cheek there, Roger!
It's quite interesting for me to comapre the versions - same tune, different treatment. The Dinosaurs one isn't available as a backing track (yet!)
Great minds *do* think alike...
