Hi, I am using SoundCloud for the first time and already I have run into a problem.

I got a message from them:

Our automatic content protection system has detected that your track:
"Kon Tiki(2) Bojan" may contain the following copyrighted content:
"Kon Tiki" by Shadows, owned by Penny.
As a result, your track has been removed from your profile for the time being.

What should I do?

Any help is appreciated.
Bojan

OK Gary, thanks for the tip. :)

However, I'm still confused, as I see a lot of our members posting Shads tunes under their real names on SoundCloud without any problems . . . the most recent example being the whole list of Shads tunes Dave Robinson posted to highlight the new HCSE . . . so there must be something else that can be done . . .

Cheers,
Bojan

This is totally absurd!! I uploaded file BojanDrndic (KT) and again got the same message:

Hi Bojan Drndic,
Our automatic content protection system has detected that your track:
"BojanDrndic (KT)" may contain the following copyrighted content:
"Kon Tiki" by Shadows, owned by Penny.
As a result, your track has been removed from your profile for the time being.

Is this only me or does everyone have this problem!? :x

Hi Bojan,

I'm not sure, but I think Soundcloud has software 'analyzing' the sound files and possible finding a match with the real Shadows Kon Tiki. If this is the case then it means you've created a pretty accurate version of the tune! The fact that it still 'recognized' the tune with your completely unrecognizable alternative name would seem to indicate its not just checking filenames.

I have had quite a few files on Soundcloud for a fairly long time and recently they sent me a similar email for several of them. Maybe they have just recently added this checking?

Phil.
