It would have been his 73rd birthday.

To my view the best Shadows bass player, singer & composer.

I agree he was the leader of his field in the 1960s. Not an entertainer in the way Hank and Bruce have always been, but in every other respect the right man in the right place at the right time.

A superb bassist and composer, he was ahead of his time in terms of his bass playing. RIP.
