The Chicago Bootleggers - The Al Capone Songbook - Hank?

I came across the following LP:

Chicago Bootleggers 2.jpg

Chicago Bootleggers 3.jpg

On this LP - conducted by Stan Butcher of 'Stan Butcher And His Birds & Brass' fame - the musicians have all adopted names linked with Al Capone. What puzzled me is that the guitar player is listed as 'Hank Pellini'. Someone who is selling this LP states that it is in fact Hank Marvin.
Has anybody heard of this or can shed any light on an involvement of Hank? Many thanks in advance.

I very much doubt it, Ulrich. The guitar is limited purely to rhythm work in the standard jazz/swing band style of the period and certainly not identifiable with Hank, as far as any recognisable or familiar sound associated with him is concerned. The 'Pig Seigal' narration is probably by Monty Babson, adopting a cod Chicago mobster-style accent for the purpose!

Although there is no reference at all to the album, this link provides a backround to the Morgan studio, in which Babson was originally involved...

Hi Bill,

Many thanks for your reply. I had my doubts from the beginning and the seller's arguments why it should be Hank are drying out by and by. His last hope is a message which he has sent to Hank via his Gypsy Jazz facebook account.
I more and more believe that it was a kind of wishful thinking of the seller to get a better price for his item.
