Yes, it was a bit chilly around the tremolo blocks last night. My wrist is still giving me problems so no playing for me alas.

I think last night might go down as one of the quietest of the year due to lack of P.A.

Regarding the heating, or lack of, I think in retrospect that perhaps our choice of representative to ask for the heating to be turned on / up
was not the wisest. I mean, Ecca, in his shorts asking for the heating to be turned on?? Make a note for next time.

Nevertheless, the standard of playing last night was as high as ever with a welcome return from Ian, ( Stratpicker ) Plant.

Keith's ( Keith in Alps ), new Strat, ( he assured me it was not the stolen one ), looks and sounds very nice indeed, complimented by his Peavey amplifier.

In the meantime I shall carry on with the "new nut" project on my CS Strat. My local techie tells me that a 1 1/2 inch wood chisel and a copper mallet
are not the best tools to use when cutting new slots. Perhaps it's just me but I've had a few problems with my nuts over the last couple of months.

Nevertheless an enjoyable night, showing a sharp rise in the shares of "Old Fanny's scratchings". A popular delicacy amongst our brethren.

Hi,

Apologies for not being there, I'd had my head inside an AC30CCH for most of the day doing
some upgrades and mods for a nice man from Chichester who came all the way up
for me to do it!

What we could do with is a "club" pa system - something cheap we could possibly lodge at the
club, something like Mr Risky's Peavey.

Or we have a chat with the management about making their PA better for the use of it!

Anyway Mr Risky is back next week and so will I be!
I'm off now to do the music for a pensioner's dance club christmas do!

The standstill started at J16 where the three full lanes were funnelled into one stationery lane. I thought I'd be very clever and shoot around Stoke's "D" road (full of 50mph roadworks) - then down the A34 (more 50mph speed limits). I disklike Stafford's road system intensely, so I thought it would be safe to jump back on to the M6 at J14. Wrong!!! Back to a standstill - and I only wanted to go down one more junction

Yes - it WAS B---y freezing but some great playing.
Not been in a while so it was good to see the (careful here!! ) old faces and Ecca knees again. I've missed them knees.
Bakey was there on a rare Royal visit too, flatulent as ever - good to see nothing changes.
I was even presented with a Commerative Cheese and Onion Cob (delicious!!) by Roger Bayliss as a memento of the occasion and as a reward for getting off my arse and turning up!!
Good to hear the standard of playing was as high as always - some really good music.
My BT CD wouldnt play on Rogers Boom Box ( I think I'd put Bakeys CD copy of "Debbie Does Burntwood" in the jewel case by mistake!) so we dug deep into UBH etc - was great fun, even if I did forget how the end of Frightened City goes!! LOL!
I got to run my 57 re-issue through Rogers Vox Heritage AC30 and the sound is just amazing!! Its all they say it is. "Its Been A Blue Day" sounded absolutely Magic.
