57 years ago today!

It's 57 years ago today since Hank and Bruce played their first gig as the Drifters at the Victoria Hall Hanley!!

That's always worth remembering!! Jet on the bill too!!

What if he'd got Tony Sheridan!! It doesn't bear thinking about!!

Tony Sheridan later recorded an album with the Beatles (then unkown) in Germany, with no follow up. He has been the king of missed opportunities...

Had Tony Sheridan (died 2013) actually been at the 2i's when John Foster visited that afternoon in September 1958, it makes you wonder if Cliff's career would have lasted a fraction of the 57 years that it has!

Here is the covers of two albums he recorded with the Beatles. He was a very accomplished guitarist and
much sort after by groups.

I read an interview a few years ago and he had no bitterness about missing out on joining Cliff or The Beatles (even though they never actually asked him to join). He remained in Germany long after the Beatles and Cliff became famous.
