Yes - and we'll be there again this year. We'll have our stall in the usual place - can't believe we've been doing this now for nearly 20 years - all thanks to Bruce.
More groups still to be announced but still awaiting confirmation.

Is this event related in any way to the Shadowmania that Bruce ran for many years?

If not, how does it differ, if at all?

I only ask because, as far as I was aware, Bruce 'retired' from Shadowmania several years ago. I have a feeling this has all been covered already on this forum a year or two ago, but if anyone could bring me up to speed, I'd be grateful. Just curious.

Oh dear. So much uncertainty surrounding the event this year. The late-ish announcement means that I have akready nooked sometjing else for that particular weeked. Darn it!! Ah well... Que Sera etc....hope everyone who is going has a great time.

Too many typos!!! LOL. Still...you get the gist......

I haven't received any notification/emails from Lakeside despite attending for many years.
The announcement has come too late for me to attend as well - already have other plans
I just hope it's not too late for our friends from overseas to make arrangements.
Shame - I used to really enjoy these gatherings

When Bruce retired from arranging these events he agreed that Lakeside could continue arranging similar events but couldn't use the word Shadowmania. We just used it to explain the link. Usually follows the same format as Shadowmania, but main difference is that Bruce and his group don't play. I know Lakeside took a lot of persuading to continue this year but finally decided to go ahead - the future will depend on the support this day gets this year.

Well if the turn out at lakeside is poor its not the fans fault, its lakesides for taking too long in arranging it.
Ill be there with my memorabilia and record stall, so don't forget to bring plenty of money with you, I have some rare items for sale,
look for me through the exit behind the burns guitar set up.
