"Shadowing Hank" - a new tribute show
For anyone who's interested, I can finally announce the project I've been waiting to launch for an extremely long time: "Shadowing Hank".
This is the culmination of a lifetime's work and passion. I've been pushed and pushed for years by friends who think I should be turning my enthusiasm for The Shadows into a proper career, especially as they have constantly reminded me that I have the features to create a passable likeness to Hank Marvin. I have now developed the show and my own performance to a point where I know I am able set my own standard and style within the tribute market. I'm hoping there will be widespread recognition of the quality of the show and also the interest in the genre to put the act alongside the best tributes, such as those to Tom Jones, Elvis Presley. Michael Jackson, Shirley Bassey, Kylie Minogue, Freddie Mercury, etc. Hank is a legend who rightly deserves recognition in all fields, including the tribute circuit, which is where I come in.
"Shadowing Hank" is a fast-paced, dynamic, sound-alike and look-alike tribute show to Hank Marvin and The Shadows. The show is available for hotels, corporate events, private functions, holiday parks and cabaret venues within the UK and overseas.
I'm using social media heavily to publicise this; primarily Facebook, then I will start on Twitter (for anyone who wants to follow, the handle will be "@shadowinghank"). If you use Facebook please "like" my page to keep up to date (and do me a favour and share it with your own friends if you'd like!).

I performed the show in Yeovil last Friday; my brother and his girlfriend filmed it, my own girlfriend used her expertise with some stage makeup, my brilliant dad raced to the dry-cleaner at the last minute, the lighting man dug out the more advanced lighting which hadn't been used for a while, then we worked all weekend editing the footage to meet the deadline of an agency I'm hopefully going to be working with. It felt like old times; a real team effort (with them all showing the patience of saints!). They've all done me proud. The resulting showreel video is here:
So, keep your eyes open for performance dates, it'd be great to catch up at a show!
