The Original Chart Hits 1960-1980
Posted: 05 Jul 2016, 11:48Some time ago, I decided to explore our vinyl collection of The Shadows again. I wanted to have every version and sound mix available on vinyl, as well as CD. Last week, I managed to buy a brand new copy of the 40-track double LP "The Original Chart Hits 1960-1980" via Bear Family Records for EURO 17,99. I don't know if it's a recent new pressing, or from the original batch as produced in 1990. In any case, for those who would like to own a copy, go to the website of Bear Family Records. The presentation of the gatefold sleeve is sublime. This must have been one of the very first, if not the first digitally remastered compilation, using the Prism NoNoise technology, used for the LP, cassette and CD editions.
