The reason for this thread is , over the last few years I cant wait to see the year end, but 2009 seems to have been a very good year for me, I hope it continues all through 2010..........The great thing that holds my life together is Shadowmusic in all shapes and forms.........The Clubs.......The People........The Music..........And this place.............So next year If possible I would like to continue with good health....Playing guitar.......And hope in September Frimley Green once again rings out with the sound of Shadowmusic ! !..........And pray we can see Jet Harris back where he belongs...............Happy New Year and Thankyou........... :D

Nothing to do with music, but I'd like TV programmers to PLEASE stop this stupid habit of saying to us, COMING UP NEXT! and STILL TO COME! Whatever happened to good old anticipation?! What's the point of showing us the best bits of what we are going to see shortly anyway? Okay, I know the answer: first, it means that they only need to shoot thirty-five minutes of footage to fill a sixty minute programme and, secondly, they are scared to death we will channel-hop. I don't care. PLEASE STOP IT!

Noel:

There is a huge consumer campaign against voice-overs during end-credits, as well as against squashing of the credits into a small part of the screen (so that they can't be read), together with banners advertising other programmes - sometimes appearing on screen before the credits have even arrived. There is also a campaign against on-screen logos (DOGs, as they are known).

The BBC and ITV say they do it in order to enhance the viewer's enjoyment. But many of us understand that they do it to simply to spoil archive recordings on DVD-R and force purchase of DVD box-sets...
