As a Shadows Club Organiser here in the UK - (South Yorkshire Shadows Club), and someone who has been to both Shadowmania at the Lakeside, and Ian Harpers festival of Shadows Music up in Scarborough - both of which I've thoroughly enjoyed, I and a few of my fellow players are very keen to visit other clubs and events in Europe. Can someone offer any advise or feedback on their experiences of any of the events in mainland Europe, and what time of year each one takes place. ? I know this is all very subjective, but it would at least give us some sort of idea as to what to expect and how to plan any proposed visit.

Ask the Surrey Shadows Club. They use to come at the "Ch'tiShads" meeting which takes place near Lille (France) every year in autumn. The last one was on october 22th 2016. The next one is not yet planned.

There is also every year (also in autumn) the Shads in Breizh meeting in St Géréon, near Ancenis (France) halfway beetween Angers and Nantes.

+1 for Tilburg.

I went last year and it was amazing, it was like Shadowmania was in the good old days. Very friendly bunch of people and the side rooms with vintage gear for people to try out was very good too.

In addition to the Tilburg event here are some other great events I've been to in the last few years. They are always very friendly to us and we've had a great time at all of them. Take you pick and go as they're all within easy reach with low cost airlines. They make a great weekend getaway.

The 19th ShadowsMusicConvention will take place on Saturday, 7th October 2017, at the Niedersachsenhof in Verden, Germany.

The next french SHADOWS convention named " CH'TISHADS" will be held on October 7th 2017, as usual, not so far from Calais in LAVENTIE.
Since SHADOWMANIACS web site has been twinned with the SHADOWS SURREY CLUB this meeting is really a French/British reunion, including also some belgian fans & bands.
We had the pleasure tu meet every year around 20 British Shads players and looking this year for more because our friends from Eastbourne are looking to come !
This year we have a 300 seats room and able to make a great day.
