I find these comments on Youtube intriguing.

I only saw this once on TV during The Kenny Everett video show. Still sounds pretty good after nearly 37 years ! Thanks for uploading the best song that The Shadows ever made (no doubt real Shadows fans would disagree ).

+David Bradbury GREAT POST DAVE.
I REMEMBER KENNY'S SHOW WELL THE
TIME THEY WERE ON BEFORE I CAME TO USA.
DO YOU ALSO REMEMBER THE HOT CHICK WHO PLAYED
THE KEYBOARDS ON THIS TUNE.??
THANKS M8.

+Jack Frost Dont remember who played keyboards when it was on the Kenny Everett show. Did they get Cleo Rocos to bash the keyboard as she looked more attractive that whoever really played ? (judging by the cover of the single).

Now then. This exchange seems to suggest that when the Shads appeared on The Kenny Everett Show performing Love De Luxe, a woman (possibly Cleo Rocos) was seen 'playing' the keyboards.

I have a clip on video, from the Kenny Everett Show circa 1978, which shows the Shadows (in silhouette) miming to FBI. You can clearly see that it's Hank, Bruce, Alan Jones and BB and that BB has his Syndrums set up beside him. So... is there some footage somewhere showing the Kenny Everett Show performance (not the official promo video) which does indeed feature a female keyboard player? If so, I'd love to see it.

Great to see this picture sleeve of the single. I have never seen it before. A great original song. Great B-side too. I first heard these tracks in late 1992, when they appeared on the "Specs Appeal Plus" and "More Tasty" CD's. It took me a while to like "Love Deluxe", but I do now. The live versions of this track had a more 'Shadows' sound to them and I like those even better.

And here's my original copy...

Purchased on November 1st, 1978, from Boots record department in Grimsby! It seems like yesterday...
