Does anyone know which brochure that Hank & Bruce ordered the Strat from?

Any pics or knowledge of 1 for sale?

Thanks for that.

In 1 of the interviews Bruce says the Strat was in the middle in glorious colour. Doesn't look like it on any of the brochures. Maybe it was a Jennings music shop catalogue?????

There is an earlier year (1956? 1957?)Fender catalogue which shows a red Strat hanging on a wall in the middle of a group of other Fenders...I did get a glimpse of that one whilst I was searching on google..I was specifically looking for 1958-60 cats because that was around the time Cliff and the boys researched then ordered the guitar- but they may have been sent an old catalogue which showed the red Strat...not all the catalogues were in colour either.

There's quite a few websites with copies of many old Fender catalogues etc which can be viewed and/or downloaded for no cost...suggest you google 'Fender catalogues 1950's' or similar..

edit- see link below - from 1959 catalogue..scroll down.

I'm fairly sure that the one packaged by Oasis with their limited run of replicas of 34346 was the monochrome plus two colours edition from 1958.

See it here (Bruce must have agreed it!):
