The Shadows played at the Bratislava Song Festival (13. - 16. June 1968). They replaced Cliff Richard who became ill and could not perform. Also playing at this festival were Julie Driscoll & Brian Auger, Gene Pitney, Massiel and The Easybeats.

Hi Chris...you have seen it before because you posted a link to the same clip in 2014! ;)

viewtopic.php?f=11&t=10421&p=74234&hilit=bratislava&sid=1eb4a2e0933ded3d656378d98a56bd51#p74234

I know the feeling though, I can spend so many hours trawling through YouTube I forget what I have or haven't seen before! Does anyone remember a David Jacobs programme on early evening telly called Where Are They Now? in the late 70s? He did a feature on Jet Harris (who was repairing one-armed bandits at the time!) and showed the clip of The Shads playing Frightened City on Crackerjack. I'd been a fan of theirs for several years by then and that was the first time I'd actually seen period 60s film of them! (I must have missed the annual repeats of Summer Holiday and The Young Ones on rainy Sunday afternoons on BBC2...)

And, again, I have absolutely no recollection of seeing it before! Great stuff and quite unusual. I'll assume it's from the rehearsal...
