Pipeline Convention 2010 - full bill announced
I had an email from Michel Henaux telling me that his band had been booked for this year's Pipeline Convention on Easter Sunday (by which time I would hope that all the snow has gone). This has been confirmed by Alan Taylor (magazine co-editor) who has published the Convention flyer at: http://www.pipelinemag.co.uk/
Full programme (in alphabetical order):
Apollo 11 (Michel's band) - specialising in the Spotnicks sound
The Shadowers (Justin Daish's group, with ALAN JONES on bass)
The Twang Gang (expect perfect recreation of the Duane Eddy sound from this longstanding UK convention band)
The Vicars of Twiddly (mid-60s Ventures style) and
The Vintage (Scandinavian instro-rock).
There's something for everybody on that bill and for those of us who are steeped in the world of the guitar and rock instrumental, it's all too much... man.
Tickets (it is expected) will be going like hot cakes - so grab your chance to be up close and personal with that lot listed above!
JN (going out in a minute to dig more snow)
