Yes , Bruce did report that Hank and John didnt get on at one point, even an incident over a biro if I remember correctly.

At least they weren't miming! , I have felt rather cheated at how many Shadows clips seem to show the band miming.

This may be blasphemous to some, for which I can only say sorry, but isn't it painful to watch the majority Of Cliff's TV shows. The music was great (mostly) but the staging and all that hideous dancing, must have lost him heaps of fans and surely diminished his standing in British musical history. I remember when he represented Britain in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1973, with "Power To all Our Friends".
