I don't know if we have ever discussed this before, but I thought it would be interesting to see everyone's top 10 of favourite recordings by Cliff Richard which were written by members of The Shadows.
Here's mine:
1. Gee Whiz It's You.
2. She's Gone.
3. Got A Funny Feeling.
4. We Say Yeah.
5. In The Country.
6. Without You.
7. On The Beach.
8. I Could Easily Fall (In Love With You).
9. Finders Keepers.
10. True Love Will Come To You.
All tracks in my list were recorded with The Shadows. Of course you can also choose tracks which were recorded without The Shadows.
So, what is your top 10?

I'd definitely agree with your top 3, but I'd have "True Love Will Come To You" at number 4. "Summer Holiday" would also be in there somewhere too. So many to choose from!

Ten isn't enough! I agree with all the above suggestions, but would like to add a further top ten of mid-late '60s/early '70s songs...in no particular order.
1. Never Knew What Love Could Do (sounds to me like Hank and Bruce on bvs and Mick Green on guitar. No details in the Lewry, Goodall book...)
2. Monday Comes Too Soon
3. Joy of Living.
4. A Thousand Conversations
5. Throw Down A Line
6. Just A Little Bit Too Late
7. What Would I Do (for the love of a girl)
8. You Never Can Tell
9. Love, Truth and Emily Stone
10. It'll Be Me, Babe
...and loads more.
I know some of these (nos. 4, 5, 8 and 10) were recorded before or after by MWF, MF or The Shads themselves.

Must confess, I'd forgotten "Just a Little Bit Too Late". An incredibly catchy little number that should definitely be in the top ten somewhere.

The only one that made any serious impact has not even been mentioned and has one of the best guitar solos ever - Please Don't Tease

Yes, co-written by Bruce and Pete Chester, it is one of the songs and sound from the great early period. Practically any Shadows written numbers from that time would be in my top ten favourites list!

I have to agree with you there Dave.A great solo.I used to dislike it, but having added the number to our playlist, I really enjoy the feel of this solo now.

Another one not even listed that is musically and lyrically really good is The Day I Met Marie, one of Cliff's all time favourites, written by Hank.

there are so many corkers. I agree with all of you
but I would add one of my favourites, from the Finders Keepers
film, the very catchy Time Drags By
