Hi,

Am trying to find some info regarding the following, and wondered if anybody on this board is able to help?

The Shadows performed a show in Glasgow, towards the end of August 1967. Does anybody know the exact date and the venue?

Many thanks.

Not 100% sure - I need to dig through some files - but the Shadows did a week at the Glasgow Alhambra in either '67 or '68. I had a vacation job in town and saw Bruce carrying his suitcase to the car. He was not in a mood to chat which makes me think 1968 though the set list for August 1967 matches what I saw. I will have a rummage for more info.

To deviate slightly... I have a recording here from Glasgow from the 20 Golden Dates tour of May 1977. At one point someone shouts out "Curved Air!" I'm sure that gave FM a smile. I'm betting that George Geddes was at this gig! Anyway, I must dig the cassette out and have a listen.

I was indeed at that concert, and have a cassette. It was not me who recorded it, however...

Any chance you have a MP3 of this recorded show?
