Hello & welcome to all of our lady members on this site. How about telling us why you have joined, whether you play any instrument, whether you will be going to any of the concerts on the tour, or anything else you would like to discuss on these boards...... come on girls....lets get chatting...you know we're good at that....

Ok I'll bite:)) Why did I join? Way back in 2001 I had just got broadband, and I was just googling around to see what was was out there, and having been a Shads fan since 1960 and Apache, I googled the Shadows and found the original MSN site, which I joined after a short lurk. I live just down the road from Shadowmania, but hadn't gone as I knew no other Shads fans. That comment on the front page about do you think you're the last fan standing was so true in my case. I've now been to Shadowmania every year since 2002, and met lots of fans.

Warwick tends to be the club I visit, but recently clubs have started in Surrey and the Solent area - my other half comes from Hersham and the Surrey venue is my brother in law's 'local' so I really ought to visit there, and the Solent club happens just a couple of villages away from where my son has just moved to, so I guess I ought to check that one out too, plus the Berkshire one which isn't too many miles away. Lesley, I notice you're in Hampshire, so the three southern clubs must be reasonably close to you too.

I don't play an instrument, but the camcorder comes in handy.

Going to the concert at the O2 this coming Friday with my other half, who is more of a Cliff fan. Bit reverse to normal, usually the vocal stuff is billed as 'for the ladies'!

Yes I have seen some of your excellent videos of Shadowmania............. & yes I do attend the Solent club as well as the South Coast one, & last night I was at the Hersham one too, which was a very enjoyable evening... would be nice to see you at some or all of these venues.......
Like you, I prefer the Shads music to Cliff's ...... (except when he is appearing with them..)& I have been a fan since I heard Dance On & Flingel Bunt...... (I was a bit too young to appreciate Apache when it first came out)...... I was a Beatles 'babe', as soon as I heard She Loves You...... thats the record that had an 'Apache' effect on me...... but have never lost my liking for most of the Shads music, no matter how many times I hear the tunes.

Hello Maureen many thanks for your reply, there is quite a lot of news about Cliff & the 'Boys' on this site at the moment , mainly due to the current tour, which I'm pleased to read is getting excellent reviews....... I'm sure you will enjoy the ones you are attending...... perhaps you will tell us all about them afterwards....

Hi Lesley I am Lynn (littlelinnie) I joined a while ago after being told of the site by a friend. I have followed Cliff and the Shadows for decades and I will be going to the Sheffield Arena October 14th and I am certainly looking forward to concert

I'm Kitty. I live in Copenhagen, Denmark. I joined in 2005. I didn't know there was a community like this. Perhaps I wasn't aware of what was happening, as I don't play myself.
In 2005 I was watching "The Final Tour" on Norwegian television, and was wondering why I haven't heard about af tour.
I was lucky, because the reason I haven't heard of a tour, was that all tickets were sold out. No need to advertise. I then discovered that there was an extra concert in Copenhagen. I bought tickets right away.
Then I continued to Google for The Shads and found the msn.group/Shadowmusic. I became a member, and have attended Shadowmania since 2006.
I have met lots of nice people through this community, and I hope to see them again to a Shadowmania next year
I have been to the concert at The O2, and are going again on 21st November here in Copenhagen.
